Gillian's 11th Birthday

For Gillian's 11th birthday, Gillian got to have a birthday party with some school firends. She decided to go to Boondocks and they had a ball. The drove the go carts around, played in the bumper boats, put-put golf and the arcade games.

Baked Toes!

We were making dinner and decided to have baked potatoes with dinner. Well, our microwave is really cool. You wash the potatoes, poke them and put them into the microwave and just hit the baked potatoe button. It senses when the potatoes are done. One of the neighborhood boys was playing with Jeremy and he asked me what I was doing. I told him I was making dinner and he saw that the microwave was running and it said "BAKED TOES". "You're having Baked Toes for dinner?" I laughed. "No, of course not. Where did you get that idea?" "That's what it says on your microwave." I told him it was just baked potatoes. POTATOES is apparently a long enough word that it is hyphened as POTA-TOES. So, all the little boy was seeing was "BAKED TOES". So, if you ever come to our house for dinner, there is a chance that you might just get "BAKED TOES" with you dinner.

First day of school!

First Day at Work

Jeremy went to work with Reed on a Saturday morning. Jeremy wore his daddy's yellow vest and an extra hard hat. You can actually see Jeremy finishing concrete. He had so much fun and asked every Saturday thereafter when they got to go to work again.

Trip to New York City

Of course, the sites in New York City are incredible. The Empire State Building was a lot of fun. Although a little hazy that day, it was incredible to see everything from above. St. Patrick's Cathedral was absolutely beautiful. And Rockefeller Center was enchanting. I would love to see that at Christmas time.

Mowing the Lawn

One of the things the kids had to do this summer was help with the yard. Amazingly, both Gillian and Jeremy thought mowing the lawn was the greatest chore ever. Every week, they would argue as to who was going to mow the lawn first. I have some odd feeling, they won't be having this argument in the future.

Jeremy's 6th Birthday

The theme this year was TRANSFORMERS! Jeremy had his first birthday party and we took the boys to Boondocks. They all had so much fun riding around the the cars, playing in the bumper boats, put-put golfing and playing the arcade games. We then came home, ate cup cakes and open presents.
